Pastor Dan's Message

As we move into these summer days, we do so with great anticipation.  We are excited that the Spirit of Joy congregation has approved the loan of $2.2 million for the construction of the new worship center and fellowship center.  Now that we have approved the loan time marches on!  The loan papers should be complete by mid August, along with the mitigation process.  While this is happening we will be working on final drawings, and work with the civil engineer.  This process takes a few months, but our hope continues to be centered on breaking ground this year.  The construction portion of the loan is set for approximately a year.  We will be moving in the RV's and mission builders prior to beginning construction.  We already have Bill Speers of mission builders as our general manager of the project.  There is so much for us to be about in our prayers for the new church.

Many have commented on the clearing of the land.  The Ramona Chamber of Commerce, along with the Ramona Country Fair will be using our property the last day of July and first few days of August.  We have been asked to do the parking, and will receive proceeds from all that we do.  We are also being given a booth at the Fair. We will offer cold water,  ask for donations for a quilt give-away, offer Spirit of Joy Prayer beads, have our brochures available, and display the latest renderings of the new church.  We will need volunteers for both parking and our booth at the Fair.  What an incredible way to get the word out about Spirit of Joy, and invite others to come join us in this wonderful Adventure.

I am sure you have all "Caught the Spirit" of all that is happening in our midst.  These are times where we are seeing God lay before us the great plans he has for His church. Please plan to be a part of every stage, with your encouragement, prayers, and hard work.  It will take all of us to build this beckon of light for Ramona.  As I have shared before, the time is now, this truly is our moment, God's light is shining on us!

Blessings, Pastor Dan
Church Clean Up Day

Join us for another morning of productive fun at our next Saturday Church Work Party, July 18 from 8:00 A.M. to Noon.

Come for an hour or more and help spruce up, clean up, wipe up, light up and paint up our worship center, classrooms, and facilities.

If you have, or know someone who has, access to professional carpet cleaning equipment or service, please contact Dave Hicmkan at Carpet cleaning is a high priority task for this work day.

We especially encourage families with children of any age to participate with their children. This will help show our children the importance of God and His House and that we can all take part in keeping it in the best shape possible. We have a job for everyone: Men, Women, Teens, Pre-teens.
