This week's newsletter is given over to news about upcoming events in the life of Spirit of Joy. Please take the time to skim through and see what's happening. Next week we'll have an up-to-date report from Alyssa about all of the exciting things that our children and youth have been doing this summer.

Look What's On Our Land...
And lend us your hand

Spirit of Joy has big plans for this event being held on our land July 30-Aug 2.. and we need your support.

First of all, the men will be managing all parking for the event and will earn $5 per car. Please sign up on the kiosk or contact Bruce Hindman at

Our evangelism team will run a Spirit of Joy booth. We'll pass out free bottles of water with a Spirit of Joy label and generally welcome visitors to our future home... and offering friendly invitations in the process. We need volunteers to staff the booth... please sign up on the kiosk or talk to Ellen Ray or Robin White.

This will be a wonderful opportunity to make ourselves visible to a broad cross section of Ramona. Please prayerfully consider making a contribution of your time and talent to this endeavor.

Men's Bible Study Begins Aug 1

Our good Brother in Christ, Tim Daniels, kicks off our fall semester of Men's Bible Studies with two conversations about the Hebrew roots and influence of Christian belief. Tim has in-depth insight into this history which helps us to better understand many of the sayings of Jesus and the Apostles.

Attached you'll find a guide to this weighty topic which will guide the discussion, beginning on Saturday, Aug 1 and finishing on August 8. Since it's fairly lengthy we'll have copies printed and posted on the kiosk for you to pick up. Click Here if you'd like to view or download the study guide.

Then, beginning with Saturday, September 5, we begin a new 12-session study on the Sermon on the Mount using study guides by Kieth Krell who gave us such an in-depth and insightful study on Romans.
