Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church was organized on November 6, 1994. The church began meeting at the home of Pastor Dan and Karyn Erlenbusch, then in a small shoe store in old town Ramona, and now at their present site of renovation for worship and classrooms at 1735 Main Street, Ramona, CA.

We are at the crossroads in a tremendous journey at Spirit of Joy as we look to the next few years of building on a permanent site, depicted above with the cross, at the corner of Highway 67 and Highland Valley Road.

Spirit of Joy is a community of faith where we rejoice in Christ's presence, declare a community of faith for all people, serve and grow together in faith and trust in God, proclaim and study the living Gospel of Jesus Christ, and celebrate God's grace and love in this incredible adventure in faith.

Our theme for the next three years is "Ring Out and Celebrate!"  This is a time for everyone to join in the message that is so vital to this community as we claim the Good News that is ours in our Lord Jesus Christ.
